Question 4:  If counties and cities lose revenue, where will the money come from?

This is a legitimate concern - but it does not mean homeowners have to be told there is “no way” to address the issue.
 

Wyoming has significant state revenues and financial resources. The Legislature has mechanisms for directing certain state revenues to local governments, including provisions involving federal mineral royalties and severance-tax revenues.
 

That doesn't mean every dollar lost to the initiative will automatically be replaced.

It does mean the state and local governments have options.

If a county or municipality determines that the initiative creates a legitimate funding shortfall for an essential service, then officials should identify the shortfall, show taxpayers the numbers and pursue available funding solutions.
 

Tax relief should require government to prioritize just like you do with your household budget, not automatically require homeowners to keep paying more.
